BYD Seal 06 DM-i wagon arrives at Chinese dealers ahead of schedule

The BYD Seal 06 DM-i plug-in hybrid wagon has arrived at dealers across China ahead of its launch. The model has a 4.85-meter body, a 215-horsepower electric motor, and a maximum range of 83 kilometers under CLTC conditions. The BYD Seal 06 DM-i wagon will soon enter the domestic market.
The BYD Seal 06 DM-i wagon (SW) was first exposed on March 19. On April 23, the model made its public debut at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show as the BYD brand's first PHEV wagon.
The BYD Seal 06 DM-i SW arrived at Chinese dealers for display before the sales launch. From a set of photos we can see that the new car is white. We can assume this is the top-of-the-line wagon as it has front parking radar, a panoramic camera system, a roof rack and R18 wheels. Other highlights of this car include the BYD triple camera behind the windshield and a sunroof.
The BYD Seal 06 DM-i wagon remains consistent with its sedan sibling in appearance. The front end of the car features two slender headlights and an inverted trapezoidal grille. The Seal 06 DM-i SW gets a suspended roof design with blackened pillars.

The interior of the BYD Seal 06 DM-i SW features the three-spoke D-shaped steering wheel common to BYD Ocean series cars. It has a floating screen and a small LCD instrument panel on the center console. The biggest difference between the Seal 06 DM-i sedan and SW is the shifter. The new car mounts it on the steering column. Meanwhile, the sedan variant offers a retractable shifter mounted on the center tunnel.
The entry-level BYD Haibao 06 DM-i wagon is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated 74 kW (99 hp) engine and a 120 kW (161 hp) electric motor. A FinDreams-made LFP battery with a capacity of 10.08 kWh powers the system. Under CLTC conditions, this variant can travel 53 kilometers in EV mode.
